Ranked 18th among the nation’s public engineering programs, the College of Engineering (COE) celebrates its Golden 50th Anniversary in 2012. We are very proud of the students and faculty who have made up our community since 1962. An integral portion of that community is you—our alumni! By understanding how you see the college, we can better keep in touch with you. Please ensure that your voice is heard by completing this brief survey.
In 2011, a team of COE students competed nationally to develop a vehicle that runs on alternative fuel. The annual American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE) “Chem-E-Car competition” provides students the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge to address challenges currently faced by the alternative fuels industry. By working with industry leaders and COE alumni who are developing emerging sources of energy, students also advanced their own opportunities. The COE team placed an impressive second in the competition and gave the students hands-on industry experience that will serve them in their careers.
At the COE, our approach gives students the opportunity to create innovative solutions by applying their knowledge and skill to real-world problems. Please consider a gift today to support the College of Engineering Annual Fund and the students who will change the world around us.
