Dear Classmate,
It has been almost four months since we as a class graduated from Tulane University and the rush and excitement of commencement 2011 is still fresh in my mind. I remember sitting in the graduation ceremony realizing we had actually made it to this point. It didn’t feel like it could be real. From the impromptu performances by Stevie Wonder to the entire audience joining together to sing “Happy Birthday” to the famed musician who celebrated his birthday the following day—it all seemed too surreal. Thinking back now, the time we spent together at Tulane felt like such a long, yet short process at the same time. We have been through so much as a class these past four years and I am certain the memories we have shared will last us a lifetime.
As the 1st year reunion approaches, we welcome the chance to reconnect and once again experience all the wonderful things about the university that contributed so much to who we are today. Please come back and join us for the upcoming reunion—and together we will celebrate the class of 2011. On Friday, October 21st at 6:00pm in the Lavin-Bernick Center is the Wave’11 All-Alumni Reunion Party for our class to celebrate with good food, fireworks and great music. Saturday, October 22nd at 10:00am starts the tailgating in Homecoming Village at the Superdome for the homecoming football game against Memphis at 2:00pm. This reunion provides our class with a wonderful opportunity to give back to our university and to a great American city. Please join me in making a contribution to the Tulane Fund. The Tulane Fund is for the university’s immediate use. I can assure you the needs of a great university like Tulane always outnumber its financial resources. Therefore giving back is essential to Tulane’s continuing success.
